A visit from Jack Frost

December 2012

Continuing on the theme of winter weather, we had an amazing frost on Tuesday.  Like nothing I've ever seen before. Even the locals were impressed.  Apparently a frost this good is a once every five to ten years event.

Here's a few photos grabbed on my phone on the walk to work.

Frost on the underside of the branches.

A spider web made visible by the frost.

Frosty Toi Toi in the neighbour's garden.
It was hard to get a photo showing how white the trees were with the beautiful views all seeming to point into the sun.  Below is one example of the bright white of the trees.

Trees frosted white.

You know those traditional Christmas images where the trees are all white?  I used to think that was snow, but now I'm sure it's this.
